Our client was one of 12 defendants charged with a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs over a 10 month period during 2020.  Operation Lunched was a Devon and Cornwall police investigation in respect of an Organised Crime Group. The case alleged 20 courier runs and resulted in a number of searches and seizures including large amounts of cash and quantities of class A drugs.

The case included the alleged use of purpose-built hides within the vehicles in order to transport the drugs, and co-defendants was accused of using encrypted mobile phones. Our client was the partner of an principal organiser in the OCG who had pleaded guilty to his involvement.

It was alleged that our client was actively involved in the operation being a point of contact for the courier runs when her partner was abroad the case involved police surveillance evidence and significant telephone evidence including contacts between our client and co-defendants.

Following a three-week trial at Exeter Crown Court in 2023, our client was unanimously acquitted. Amy Cox was the solicitor with conduct of this case. Laura Collier of 25 Bedford Row was instructed.
