Alleged to be the head of the OCG and charged alongside 17 others, SMW secured an excellent result for our client.

Our client’s confiscation order were settled in the sum of £17,500. The Prosecution initially put forward a £1.3 million benefit figure, and an available amount to include the equity in our client’s family-owned property, a sum of £225,000.

After an attempt at his own life, our client was alleged to have stabbed his own estranged father. After a 7-day trial our client was acquitted.

Facing a mandatory 7 year sentence, our client was found not guilty following a 5-day trial at Lewes Crown Court.

Our client was one of 12 charged with a class A drugs conspiracy. After a three-week trial, she was found not guilty at Exeter Crown Court.

R v X (2022) – Our youth client who faced charges of murder and manslaughter was acquitted of murder and following a hung jury, the prosecution offered no evidence on the manslaughter charge.

Our client faced trial in January 2023 in respect of allegations dating back to 2013. The charges related to his conduct in respect of a company for which he was the sole director at the point of incorporation in 2011.

Our client was accused of rape with two others. He was unanimously acquitted following a 7-day trial.

Our client pleaded guilty on a basis to a conspiracy to supply class A drugs. The conspiracy was said to be worth over £9 million and involved in wholesale importation and supply. After sentence, POCA proceedings were initiated against our client.

This firm represented a highly vulnerable young person charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

We represented a male of good character, who was 18 years old at the time of the allegations. He faced an indictment containing two counts of kidnap, two counts of false imprisonment and one count of blackmail. There were 3 co-defendants in the case facing similar counts.

We represented a youth, aged 15, charged with murder and manslaughter in the alternative. He was charged alongside another male youth charged with murder, and a third male charged with assisting an offender. The case also involved youth witnesses that gave evidence via s28 hearings.
